The Nashville Town Council at a meeting Thursday evening will discuss renaming a street for one of its most prominent residents.
On the agenda is further discussion of a plan to rename Commercial Street and East Gould Street north of Main Street to Andy Rogers Way. The street serves Nashville Town Hall, the Nashville Post Office and two financial institutions.
Rogers, who died in 2018, was cited as “an example of diligence, integrity, honesty, fairness and respect for all” according to a resolution adopted by the council last year to rename the street in his honor, effective Feb. 3…
