We love chocolate so much that we can laugh about our addiction. As a chocoholic once quipped, “I could give up chocolate. But I’m not a quitter.”
Chicago may no longer be the world’s candy capital (see “Onetime Candy Capital of the World” on page 28), but our chocolate shops, especially in the western suburbs, take a back seat to none, not Godiva, not Ghirardelli and certainly not Hershey.
It’s a sweet story.
