Pancake and Waffle Mix Recall Sparks Warning in 11 States

The Quaker Oats Company is recalling “a limited number” of pancake and waffle mixes due to undeclared milk, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said on Wednesday.

Why It Matters

People with a milk allergy who have purchased the mix potentially run the risk of experiencing a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat the mix, the FDA warned.

The two-pound boxes of the Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake and Waffle Mix were distributed to select retail stores in the follow states: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, Utah, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi and Wisconsin.

Newsweek reached out to the Quaker Oats Company via online form on Wednesday for additional comment.

What To Know

The impacted pancake and waffle mix is packaged in a cardboard box, the FDA said. In its alert, the FDA provided a picture of the recalled product. The UPC code number is 30000 65040 and the code date is BBD SEP 13 25 P. Customers may have purchased the impacted product as early as November 18, 2024, the FDA said…
