CHEYENNE — A bill to revise a property tax relief program discussed and approved during the 2024 budget session is headed to the Senate floor.
Gov. Mark Gordon signed a bill following last year’s legislative session to exempt 50% of a property’s assessed value for homeowners at least 65 years old who have paid property taxes in Wyoming for at least 25 years and live in their home at least eight months a year.
The new Senate File 67 would remove that law’s sunset date and lessen the requirement to live in the exempted property from eight months to six months a year…
