WELLS TWP, Pa. (WETM) — A Williamsport woman was sentenced to time in a Pennsylvania state prison after she was found trying to break into a home in Wells Township, according to information from the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office.
Melissa Ann Chirdon, 46, was sentenced to a minimum of six months to a maximum of four years in prison for the offense of criminal trespass, a felony in the third degree.

Chirdon is said to have been a patient at a drug rehab facility in Bradford County when she left the facility and attempted to go into a nearby home by breaking the glass on the door at 11:20 p.m. on February 25, 2024, the DA’s office said.
Chirdon stopped when she learned the door was screwed shut from the inside and she wouldn’t be able to enter. Documents said she left and fell asleep in a nearby parked car before she was arrested by state police…
