On January 16, 2025, at approximately 10:25 a.m., Dallas police officers were involved in a vehicle chase that resulted in an officer-involved shooting in Red Oak, Ellis County, Texas.
The preliminary investigation determined officers were pursuing a capital murder suspect that ended in a traffic accident involving the suspect vehicle and an uninvolved vehicle, on southbound Interstate 35, near the intersection at Red Oak Road.
