Southern Arizona law enforcement gets border security funding

COCHISE COUNTY, Ariz. (13 News) – Gov. Katie Hobbs announced over $17 million in funding would be going to support local law enforcement in border enforcement efforts.

Many sheriff’s offices and police departments in southern Arizona will be receiving a combined nearly $6 million of that funding.

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office and the Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Office both welcome any money they can get – and while safety is the utmost priority for both, they differ in their plans of how that money will be utilized…
