Rain is moving in Saturday ahead of an arctic attack next week

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – Temperatures are warming up today ahead of this weekend’s cold front. Today’s highs will be in the 60s with plentiful sunshine. Clouds start moving in this evening ahead of rainfall on Saturday. Lows tonight will be in the 40s across the region.

Saturday will be wet, with rainfall likely throughout the day. A few thunderstorms are possible as warmer air resides in the area. Saturday highs will be approaching 70 degrees. Rainfall may even continue into Sunday as this system slows down, producing flooding conditions for parts of South Georgia. Rainfall could total 1 to 2 inches, with isolated pockets of 3 inches.

After the front passes on Sunday, temperatures will plummet as cold air rushes in. The morning will begin in the 50s, and temperatures will decrease throughout the day, with afternoon temperatures in the 40s. For Monday morning, we are dropping into the low 20s.
