Wilmington, OH – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued an Extreme Cold Watch for central and southern Ohio, southeast Indiana, and northern Kentucky, starting late Sunday night and continuing through Wednesday morning.

According to the NWS, temperatures could plunge to 5 to 10 degrees below zero, with wind chills reaching 15 to 25 degrees below zero. The affected areas include cities such as Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, and surrounding communities in the Ohio Valley. These dangerously low temperatures can lead to frostbite in minutes and may cause ruptured water pipes.
