Maryland’s long term energy plan may include more nuclear energy

As energy demands continue to grow, Maryland state leaders, along with energy officials, are working to find long term solutions.

During presentations in Annapolis, Maryland Energy Administration Director Paul Pinsky, pointed to nuclear as a likely, clean energy solution.

Gov. Wes Moore has outlined several clean energy goals, including 100% clean energy by 2035, and other emissions reductions in the years prior. However, when addressing lawmakers, Pinsky acknowledged there would be key challenges in the state achieving those goals…
