On Friday at 3:05 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch valid from Sunday 10 a.m. until Monday 1 a.m. for Northern Wayne and Southern Wayne as well as Lackawanna, Luzerne and Pike counties.
The weather service adds to prepare for, “Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches possible.”
“Travel could be very difficult,” comments the weather service. “Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.”
