A Philadelphia man, Shayne Holland, has been sentenced to a stint of 2 ½ to six years in state prison for setting a destructive fire in Bucks County. The fire, which took place this past November, did not only severely damage the Bucks County Carpet Company but also caused injury to a local firefighter. Following his prison term, Holland will also face four years of probation, as per Common Pleas Judge Gary B. Gilman’s ruling on Thursday.
The arson that Holland pled guilty to in November, spanned across two counts, in addition to single counts of reckless burning, criminal mischief, and possession of explosive or incendiary material. A surveillance video footage, which was key in Holland’s identification as the arsonist, depicted the flames overtaking the business located at 801 Cedar Ave., Croydon.
