CBP seizes over $158,000 in heroin at Texas-Mexico border

BROWNSVILLE — U.S. Customs and Border Protection has seized more than $158,000 in heroin in a single enforcement action.

On Jan. 15, CBP officers at the Brownsville and Matamoros International Bridge flagged a 2000 Chevrolet for secondary inspection, according to a press release.

They found 0.31 pounds of brown heroin, which has street value of $5,919, and 9.06 pounds of black tar heroin, worth $152,226…
