First Alert: Tracking rain & rumbles overnight into Saturday morning

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Clouds are starting to roll back into our sky ahead of overnight and early morning rain… the warmth will stay with us for the time being, but much colder air returns to the state starting Sunday and lasting for the next 7-10 days.

Friday was relatively warm day, compared to what we are tracking next week; highs topped out in the 60s under a mix of sun and clouds along with a southeast breeze.

Our next system takes aim at the state tonight into Saturday morning, bringing a quick shot of rain. Much of the rain will fall overnight, while you’re sleeping. A rumble or two of thunder is also possible, but the air is expected to be too cool and stable for any risk of severe weather…
