A strange alleged kidnapping incident that later involved a suspect eluding law enforcement while pulling a camper landed a man in jail.
On Thursday, shortly before noon, Grand Junction Police officers received a call about a possible kidnapping. A reporting party stated his grandson, a 17-year-old juvenile, had been involved in a two-vehicle crash, which happened around 7:30 a.m. at Fifth Street and Riverside Parkway.
