Beloved Old Colorado City breakfast spot poised for comeback after December closure

A beloved Old Colorado City restaurant, which closed its doors in December to widespread dismay, appears poised to make a comeback.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Mountain Shadows Restaurant co-owner Kasie Swain announced that the longtime breakfast eatery at 2223 W. Colorado Ave., has been sold, and that new ownership plans to “keep it as original as possible.”
