8 arrested in drug bust in northern Colorado

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Eight people were arrested for distributing dangerous drugs in northern Colorado and Wyoming in a drug trafficking bust, according to the Northern Colorado Drug Task Force.

In April 2024, the Northern Colorado Drug Task Force received information about a local drug trafficking organization that was led by a Johnstown man. Detectives identified Curtis Rogers as a distributor and claimed he supplied methamphetamine, cocaine, oxycodone, and fentanyl across the area.

Following an investigation, known as Operation King Friday, detectives learned Rogers had connections to what they called a multinational drug trafficking organization based in Mexico.

Towards the end of 2024, the drug task force said they conducted multiple search warrants across Colorado in connection with Rogers’ operation. During the investigation, detectives found:

  • 3.6 pounds of methamphetamine
  • 5,300 pills of fentanyl
  • $13,741 in U.S. currency
  • 13 firearms, some of which had been exchanged for illicit narcotics

In total, eight people were arrested and are facing numerous charges. The Northern Colorado Drug Task Force has identified them as:

  • Curtis Rogers , of Johnstown, 47, is facing charges of
    • Distribution of controlled substance – Fentanyl >50g
    • Possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute – schedule 1 or 2 narcotic – 225g/+
    • Distribution of controlled substance – schedule 1 or 2 narcotic – 225g/more
    • Distribution of controlled substance – schedule 1 or 2 narcotic –  225g/more
    • Distribution of controlled substance – schedule 1 or 2 narcotic – 14-225g
  • Dana Gross of Loveland, 43, is facing a charge of
    • Conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance – Fentanyl >50g
  • Luther Lee of Fort Collins, 52, is facing charges of
    • Two counts of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance – Fentanyl >50g
  • Amber Haggard of Fort Collins, 42, is facing a charge of
    • Possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute – Fentanyl >50g
  • Corey Luvene of Fort Collins, 43, is facing a charge of
    • Conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance – Fentanyl 4-50g
  • Chelsea Coode of Greeley, 32, is facing a charge of
    • Conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance – Fentanyl >50g
  • Noami Eastwood of Brush, 42, is facing a charge of
    • Conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance (meth/heroin/ketamine/cathinones) 7-112g
  • Rachel Cheever of Loveland, 49, is facing charges of
    • Conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance – Fentanyl 4-50g
    • Conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance (meth/heroin/ketamine/cathinones) 7-112g

Their bonds range from $50,000 to $1 million. All eight suspects were booked into the Larimer County Jail…
