Man previously convicted of manslaughter now charged with murder

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City man previously convicted of manslaughter has now been charged with murder in connection to a July shooting.

Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Friday, Jan. 17, indicate that Howard T. Patton, of Kansas City, has been charged in connection to a fatal July shooting.

A probable cause statement filed by the Kansas City Police Department revealed that around 4:25 a.m. on July 19, law enforcement officials were called to an area of Prospect Ave. with reports of gunshots. When they arrived, they said they found one man with multiple apparent gunshot wounds in an open lot nearby…
