SACRAMENTO, Calif. – More than 100 new officers joined the ranks of the California Highway Patrol during a swearing-in ceremony in Sacramento Friday.
Of the 106 new officers that were sworn in, officials say that a quarter of the graduating class will be deployed to Los Angeles County where their service is urgently needed as the area grapples with the devastation from the ongoing Southern California wildfires.
