Winter weather alerts will go into effect Sunday morning and run through Monday morning. In southwest Virginia, the following counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory: Lee, Washington, Grayson, Wise, Russell, Smyth, Dickenson, Buchanan and Tazewell. In southeast Kentucky, Leslie and Letcher counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for all of Johnson and Unicoi counties with the mountain zones of Carter and Greene also within the watch area.
