CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A portion of Trilby Avenue in Chicopee was closed due to an incident that occurred on Friday night.

Wanted suspect captured after crossing Chicopee River to elude police

The Chicopee Police Department said that the road will be closed until further notice, and police are currently investigating the area to gather more information about this incident. Drivers in the area are asked to seek alternate routes at this time.

Chicopee police said that this was an isolated incident and that there is no public threat.
