Sunny Skies and Brisk Temps Grace Austin, Wintry Mix Expected Monday Night

Austinites can expect a sunny day today with a comfortable high around 60 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The weather pattern holds steady with the north wind blowing at about 10 mph and possibly gusting up to 20 mph. The last update on the weather was posted this morning at 9:51 am CST.

As the sun sets, the temperatures are dipping close to a low of 28 degrees. North wind’s presence keeps being felt, moving at a slower pace of 5 to 10 mph, but nevertheless, it’s gusting as high as 25 mph, according to the weather forecast. A sunny Sunday will follow but with a marked drop in the high, only reaching near 44 degrees, and the north wind picking up the pace between 10 to 15 mph and could boost gusts up to 30 mph.

The upcoming holiday, M.L.King Day, will see partly sunny skies although it gets chillier with a high near 39. Troubling the otherwise fair conditions, east winds between 5 to 10 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph are forecasted…
