(FOX40.COM) — The Fairfield Police Department is investigating the circumstances behind a man who was found dead lying in a roadway on Jan. 18.
Around 7:16 a.m., FPD responded to an area near the 2300 block of El Rancho Way for a person lying on the road. When officers arrived to the scene, they said they discovered a man who was pronounced dead.

FPD said the man appeared to suffer from a gunshot wound. No arrests were made and the incident is under investigation.
