Additional Coverage:

Police in Wisconsin are investigating an arson attack on a congressman’s office.

A 19-year-old man admitted to setting the fire in response to a rumor that TikTok was being banned in the US.

The suspect, from Menasha, was arrested near the office shortly after the fire was put out.

Congressman Glenn Grothman, whose office was targeted, expressed relief that no one was injured.

TikTok has since restored service in the US, following a brief outage on Saturday.

The suspect is being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail, and arson charges are being considered.

TikTok declined to comment on the incident.
