SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — Tomorrow is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and Sunday afternoon, the Greater Scranton MLK Commission hosted its annual dinner to honor the life and legacy of Dr. King. This year’s theme—“Spread Love, Give Love, Be Love”—reminds the community of Dr. King’s message of unity and service.
The event brought together 250 members of the community for a celebration of love, grace, and equity. The dinner featured a keynote address by world-renowned speaker Dr. Terrell Lamont Strayhorn and focused on tackling community challenges, such as supporting the elderly, the homeless, and at-risk youth.
