TYRONE, Pa. (WTAJ) — Dozens of people gathered at the St. Matthew Church in Tyrone Sunday to march for the lives of children, born and unborn.
It was for the 38th annual Respect Life March. It started in Tyrone in 1987 after an infant was discovered in a dumpster in Bellwood. Despite a police investigation, the mother was never found.
“The Knights of Columbus here decided to give the baby a Christian burial. So that’s when they got the body of the infant and called her baby Agnes and took her out to the cemetery.
