Commuters in Lawrence County, take note. A scheduled closure will impact anyone planning to use the eastbound I-44 on-ramp at Missouri Route 39, also known as Exit 46 in Mt. Vernon. According to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), contractor crews will be out repairing the guardrail on the ramp. The work is set to begin at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, and continue through the early hours until 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 23.
During this period, MoDOT has alerted the public that the eastbound Route 39-to-I-44 on-ramp will be completely closed off to traffic.
