DENVER ( KDVR ) — During the arctic blast over the weekend, Denver reached subzero temperatures, however, other places in Colorado were even colder.
An arctic blast swept into Colorado and left the state with over a foot of snow and its longest hard freeze of the season. Several inches of snow and freezing temperatures left the roads slick and snowy . Meanwhile, hundreds of flights at the Denver International Airport were delayed and canceled .

In Denver, temperatures reached as low as minus 11 degrees , but that wasn’t nearly the coldest part of Colorado this weekend as some places dipped as low as minus 20 and 30 degrees.

While it was subzero in many areas across Colorado on Monday morning, the coldest hasn’t come yet, at least for Denver. The Pinpoint Weather team expects temperatures to dip even lower on Monday night, with temperatures as low as minus 11 degrees in Denver and wind chill making it feel like minus 30 degrees in some areas across the state.

Colorado still has about another day before temperatures will rise above freezing. Denver is expected to break freezing around noon on Tuesday and will warm up throughout the week.
