Northern Nevada’s honor Dr. King at annual community caravan

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Northern Nevada’s community members are gathering to pay their respects to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and vision for America.

“It’s to honor a great civil rights leader and the person of Dr. Martin Luther King. He died at 39 years old, in Memphis Tennessee fighting for humanity,” said Bishop Luther DuPree.

The 27th annual Community Memorial Caravan began at the Rehoboth Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Reno on Monday morning. Members then cruised US-395. There are 22 miles dedicated to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr…
