Commission rejects expanding mandatory trash pickup

BROOKSVILLE – A line of citizens came forward on Tuesday, Jan. 14, to trash an idea to expand mandatory garbage collection to more of the county.

“The Universal Solid Waste Collection District exists to promote the common interest of the people to provide for the effectuation and financing of a refuse collection system that it is necessary to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens and residents of the unit.
