David English, board chair for North Georgia Veterans Helping Veterans (NGVHV), a charitable organization with a mission to conduct charitable and community service, is thankful all those who had the vision to create the foundation that has helped local veterans with short-term day-to-day needs.
“Our ‘seed money’ came from a transfer of the North Georgia Veterans (NGV) Memorial Fund,” English said. “We received a generous donation from the Hammill Family Foundation, as well as several large donations from NGV members and smaller donations from people in the community to support our work.”
At the end of June, NGVHV was awarded IRS approval to operate as a charitable 501(c)(3).…
