Maine lawmaker sponsors several bills to get rid of toxic firefighting foam

BRUNSWICK (WGME) — Toxic, potentially cancer-causing firefighting foam, like what spilled in Brunswick last year, is still being used in some places in Maine.

“It speaks to how pervasive PFAS is,” State Rep. Dan Ankeles D-Brunswick) said.

He’s sponsoring several bills at the State House to get rid of that substance…
