A homeless man was pronounced dead two days after he was found in critical condition following a tent fire in Harrisburg last week, according to city officials.
The man died Jan. 18 after canned fuel gel he was using to generate heat inside his tent caused a fire on Jan 16 around 7:30 a.m. at the homeless encampment on the 900 block of South Front Street, according to Harrisburg fire chief Brian Enterline.
Enterline said the fire was ruled accidental, as the man was using the canned gel fuel, also widely known as a Sterno can, to stay warm in frigid temperatures…
