Remains found in Pueblo West confirmed to be missing Colorado Springs man

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Nearly three years after he was reported missing, the search for Santino Cardella came to a tragic end.

The Colorado Springs Police Department confirmed Tuesday that Cardella’s remains had been located, and that the 28-year-old’s death was being investigated as a homicide.

Cardella went missing in April 2022. During the investigation, CSPD detectives obtained information that Cardella may have been the victim of foul play. Two years after his disappearance, the police department was tipped off that Cardella may have been buried in the Pueblo area, leading to an extensive search on a property in the 1400 block of Second Road in Pueblo West late last year.
