ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Horizon Air flight attendants struggling to reach an agreement on a new contract have filed for federal mediation, according to a release from the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA.
According to the release, Horizon flight attendants are pushing for the same pay as flight attendants at Horizon’s parent company, Alaska Airlines.
“The company needs to recognize the contributions we have made to its continued growth,” Horizon AFA President Lisa Davis-Warren said in a statement. “We are hopeful that with the help of a federal mediator we will work with urgency to get the pay, benefits, and scheduling provisions we have earned.”…
