Georgia Counties Face Dangerous Travel Conditions Amid Snowstorm

Atlanta, GA – A winter storm warning remains in effect across much of Georgia, with heavy snow creating hazardous road conditions.

According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, areas spanning central, northeast, and west-central Georgia, including Atlanta, Athens, and Macon, could see up to two additional inches of snow overnight. The warning is set to expire at 7 a.m. Wednesday, but slippery roads, bridges, and overpasses will likely disrupt the morning commute.

Authorities are urging residents to avoid nonessential travel. If travel is unavoidable, drivers should carry emergency supplies, such as flashlights, food, and water, in case of delays or accidents.
