Hickory City Council met in regular session Tuesday (January 21). Minutes, second readings, and the consent agenda were all approved.
City Manager Warren Wood presented the statutory relationship between the City of Hickory and the Hickory Public Housing Authority (HPHA). The Housing Authority operates as an independent authority; not a department of the City, nor funded by the City of Hickory. They are primarily funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
