‘Severely neglected dog’ dies behind dumpster of a Dollar General in Monroe: PD

MONROE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — An investigation is underway after a dog was found behind a dumpster in Union County, according to the Monroe Police Department.

Around 11:45 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, officers responded to an animal service call at the Dollar General at 1629 W. Franklin Street in Monroe. When they arrived, they found a ‘severely neglected dog’ in a crate behind the dumpster of the store.
