Woman shot by police during confrontation in Baldwin Hills

A woman is in the hospital Tuesday after she was shot during a confrontation with Los Angeles Police Department officers in Baldwin Hills.

Officers were called at 11:06 p.m. Monday to the 3900 block of Ursula Street, between Pinafore and August streets, regarding a disturbance call. When they arrived, the woman confronted them, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
