2 men killed in 4 separate Glendale weekend shootings

The Glendale Police Department responded to four separate shooting incidents over the long weekend, two of which resulted in deaths. They are:

  • A homicide at 1:13 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17 in the 6300 block of North 64th Drive. Patrol Officers responded to a report of a 48-year-old adult male subject down in the living room of an apartment home near the above address. Officers arrived and found the victim with a gunshot wound. Glendale Fire attempted life-saving measures but he was pronounced deceased on scene. The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Desmon L. Farrington. Suspect(s) are outstanding and the investigation is ongoing.
  • A shooting resulting from an aggravated assault at 8:23 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2024 in the 5700 block of West Vogel Avenue. The 53-year-old male victim in this incident, drove to the 43-year-old male suspect’s residence to confront him about an adult woman they have both been romantically involved with.
