Sheriff’s office builds wheelchair ramps for deputy hurt during stolen car chase in Cleveland County

POLKVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) – Several members of the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office helped build wheelchair ramps on Tuesday for a deputy severely injured during a stolen car chase earlier this month.

The members met at Deputy Robert Taylor’s home for the construction projects on Tuesday, Jan. 21, two weeks after he was hurt in the crash.

“We would like to thank Deviney Lumber and Salvage for the generous donation of the supplies needed to build the wheel chair ramps,” the sheriff’s office wrote…
