Brockton man held without bail in fatal stabbing of Fall River man in Brockton park

BROCKTON — A Brockton man accused of fatally stabbing a 39-year-old at a local park last July was ordered held without bail at his arraignment Tuesday in Plymouth County Superior Court, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said in a written statement.

Johnny Richmond, 37, of Brockton, was arrested and charged last July in connection to the fatal stabbing of Edmar Goncalves , 39, of Fall River, in Brockton’s Finnegan Park, according to police.

Richmond pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Superior Court to one count each of murder and carrying a dangerous weapon, as well as two counts of threats to kill, according to the DA’s office…
