Wauconda Man Charged in Hit-and-Run Case Involving Serious Injuries in Chicago

Wauconda man, Michael Reznik, is facing serious charges for his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run incident that took place in May last year. According to a Chicago Police Department report, Reznik, who lives on the 26000 block of N. Hill Ave., has been charged with one felony count of leaving the scene of an accident with injury or death, another for aggravated reckless driving causing bodily harm, along with a misdemeanor for failing to provide information or render aid after an injury. Additional traffic citations have also been issued against him.

The 37-year-old was apprehended on Tuesday, in the 5500 block of W. Grand Ave. It’s alleged that he struck a 40-year-old woman with his vehicle on the 2000 block of W. Armitage Ave. in the 14th District, which resulted in serious injuries for the pedestrian. Post-collision, he’s accused of having left the scene without providing aid or personal information. He was later identified and taken into custody and will now have to face his detention hearing, which is scheduled to be held at 2600 S. California…
