BOISE, Idaho — A new school choice tax bill was introduced at the statehouse Wednesday, sparking debate among legislators.
The bill presented during a tax committee meeting proposes a refundable tax credit for parents beginning in the 2025 tax year. Parents could receive up to $5,000 per child for qualified educational expenses, with $7,500 available for a child with disabilities.
