Hartford felon pleads guilty to firearm possession

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Hartford man pleaded guilty on Wednesday to unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, according to the Department of Justice.

New Haven felon sentenced to 5 years for firearm possession

Jason Barber, 40, allegedly was sitting in a car livestreaming on Facebook Live and showing off a loaded pistol magazine in 2022. Officers located Barber, followed him into a package store and found the gun in his pocket.

Barber’s criminal history includes state felony convictions for firearm, robbery, drug and escape offenses. He faces a maximum prison sentence of 15 years…
