Connecticut State Board of Education to intervene on behalf of Bridgeport Public Schools

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The State of Connecticut has announced it will intervene to help Bridgeport Public Schools through a difficult time.

On Wednesday, the Connecticut State Board of Education, or SBE, authorized Education Commissioner Charlene Russell-Tucker to address the stability of operations in the Bridgeport school district, which faces a $38 million budget deficit.
