Literal Garbage Fire Sends Norwalk Firefighters Rushing To Put It Out

In what could be seen as prophetic irony, a garbage truck caught fire in Fairfield County this week, sending firefighters rushing to the scene, authorities said.

The contents of a Waste Management trash truck ignited near the intersection of Woodward and Neptune Avenues at approximately 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, according to Norwalk firefighters.
