Competing petitions surrounding FCPS Superintendent Demetrus Liggins contract circulate

LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 )— Fayette County families are voicing their opinions after competing petitions regarding Superintendent Dr. Demetrus Liggins’s contract went live.

On Friday, FOX 56 News reported on a petition calling for the Fayette County Board of Education not to renew Liggins’s contract.

“I just felt like I had to do something. I believe that a lot of people are unaware of how much spending has been going on at an administration level during his tenure,” Rachel Buser, a Fayette County mother, said. “And so we just wanted to draw some attention to that and make sure that we take advantage of this opportunity while we have it.”
