Jasper County Assistant Attorney Nick Pietrack is the founder and director of a non-profit in Newton that serves children in Jasper County’s Foster Care system. The Open Arms Foundation of Jasper County was founded in February of 2024, and will celebrate its one year anniversary next month. Pietrack sees first hand the children his organization helps, as he prosecutes felony drug and child abuse cases, and oversees local Children in Need of Assistance cases.
“Right now we provide things like first night backpacks filled with essential items for kids who are entering foster care, changing placements, or are in any type of difficulty or transitional period in their life and need additional support. We also have a physical space in Newton designed for family supervised visits during the reunification process after a child is removed from their care.”…
