HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A 20-year-old man was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison on Wednesday in Hartford for committing a series of gunpoint robberies targeting online marketplace sellers, according to the Department of Justice.

Jalen Lasalle, 20, allegedly looked at luxury items on online marketplaces such as Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp, arrange to meet with the sellers, brandish a firearm, force the victims to hand over the items and flee.
Lasalle worked with another man named John Villegas to commit five armed robberies in Hartford towards the end of 2022. Villegas was sentenced to 13 years in prison in the beginning of January.
He is required to report to prison on Feb. 24…
